Starting your own publishing project is easy.
Begin with a book you love,
and the rest takes care of itself.

Well, it's maybe not that easy, but if you love the book, there are probably other people that love it too: other people who will help you develop and sell it, and still others who will buy and read it. So, if you love a book and would like to work on publishing it, submit it to the project list using the form below. We'll help you assemble a publishing team, and give you the tools to make it happen.

And remember, you needn't be the author to submit a book as a project, and your project book can be new or previously published. Just be sure to read our guidelines on working with previously published work.

  • Great books that have gone out of print
  • Public domain works in need of an updated edition
  • Foreign language works that were never translated
  • Paperback editions of hardcover originals from other publishers

Some Things Worth Knowing
Our Only Submission Guidelines

1. It's About Art. Your project book must be about visual art and within the scope of what you would find in a fine arts museum.

2. It's Full of Words. It can't be a how-to book, an exhibition catalogue or other illustrated book. Think biography, history, criticism, and fiction, like the books you'll find on The Hol List.

If you're not sure your book fits, or have questions we haven't answered, email us at projects@holartbooks.com.
